Manuel Lettenbichler Unplugged

3 years ago | Words: Andy Wigan | Photos: Fox Racing

The latest episode in Fox Racing’s “Unplugged” video series revolves around the Red Bull KTM rider, Manuel “Mani” Lettenbichler, who, after wrapping up this year’s FIM Hard Enduro World Championship (HEC), must surely now be the winningest 24-year-old hard enduro rider that ever lived!

So, to get more of an insight onto this freakishly talented, fun-loving German, this episode of Unplugged sees the Fox Racing film crew visit Round 7 of this year’s HEC at Red Bull Outliers in the Canadian Badlands, where Mani clinched the win with only three seconds to spare – in spite of being dead last off the start and looping his bike out just 20 metres shy of the finish line!

But it’s not all serious. Mani, his legendary old man, Andreas, and his best friend, Tobi (aka Jeff D’Coster – Mani’s brother from another mother) head to banjo country (Revelstoke, BC) for a recreational ride and some general fart-arsing around.

It’s a good watch, and Mani even imparts some words of wisdom on young racers, who he reckons tend to take their careers way too seriously. Enjoy…
