MAXXIS’ AUSSIE-SPEC ENDURO TYRE – THE DEVELOPMENT STORY

2 years ago | Words: Andy Wigan

If you find yourself preferring soft-terrain tyres in the hardpack and rocky conditions that Australia is notorious for, it’s a pretty clear sign you need to find yourself a better intermediate/hard-terrain tyre, right? And that’s exactly what Maxxis has done with its all-new MX-IH 18-inch rear – an Australian-spec, DOT-approved tyre that evolved from a collaboration between Maxxis’ Taiwanese engineers and technicians and the brand’s Aussie distributors, A1 Accessory Imports, and can be used both off-road and on.

We sat down with A1’s Aaron Marks to get an insight into the development process behind the MX-IH tyres and the marketing opportunity this new-generation hoop represents for Maxxis’ expanded off-road range.
