Revised Calendar For Transmoto Events
The fourth annual running of the Transmoto 8-Hour at Stroud in the NSW Hunter Valley has been moved from early September to October 13-14, 2018. And making way for the change, the Victorian-based Transmoto 8-Hour at Dargo will be taking a gap year in 2018.
According to Transmoto’s Brand Manager, Andy Wigan, “Lack of rain really slowed down the restoration of the land at Dargo after last year’s event, and we are working with the landowners to allow it more time to fully recover. Over the past eight years, we’ve learned that running events is all about creating strong relationships with landowners, local communities, participants and partners, and we’re proud of our track record in that regard. We want to make sure that everyone’s Dargo experience is memorable for all the right reasons, and that’s why we’ll be giving it a break in 2018. Everything going to plan, we will be returning to the legendary Victorian High Plains venue for what will be the third running of the Transmoto 8-Hour at Dargo in 2019. Stay tuned for a date announcement.”
“Also, the freeing up of that September 8-9 weekend (when the Stroud 8-Hour was originally slated for) will be short-lived. Let’s just say that there’ll be an announcement within the next week about a major international motorsport property coming Down Under for the first time; a marquee participation-based off-road event that’ll take place on September 7-9,” Wigan went on to say.
