8-Hour @ Dargo: The Legend Returns

After the memorable running of the inaugural Transmoto 8-Hour at Dargo in mid-2016, the iconic Victorian venue is back on the race calendar again for 2017; for the second annual instalment of the Transmoto 8-Hour, powered by KTM.
So round up your mates, dust off your camping gear, get your bike and body in order, and clear your schedule for the last weekend of October, cos Dargo’s date is now set.

NEW FOR 2017: TEAM (of 3)

Last year, we offered Ironman, Pairs and Team (of 4) classes for Dargo. And for 2017, due to popular demand, we have also opened up a Team (of 3) class. There will be a strictly limited number of entries for the Ironman and Pairs classes, but plenty of positions available in the Team (of 3) and Team (of 4) classes. And to increase your chances of taking home a trophy, both Team classes will also have ‘Team Categories’, based on gender and age.

WHEN DO ENTRIES OPEN?
Traditionally, we open entries for Transmoto Enduro Event two months prior to the event itself. Stay tuned to Transmoto’s website and social media channels over the next couple of weeks for details. Don’t worry; you’ll get plenty of warning.

ARE THERE PRE OR PRIORITY ENTRIES?
We only offer guaranteed entries to event sponsors. An FOC Team (of 4) entry is included in the Silver Sponsorship Package, so email events@transmoto.com.au if you’d like to be sent some information about sponsorship.
In recognition of their support, previous Transmoto Enduro Event participants will be sent a special ‘Priority Entry’ email 24 hours prior to entries going live to the public.

THE COURSE – WHAT TO EXPECT
According to the Dargo River Inn’s proprietor and track builder, Christian Barrett, “While the loop won’t be as technical as last year’s, it’s still going to be challenging and will feature several new sections this year. Be prepared for undulating grasstrack, tricky rock gardens, flowing singletrail, big loamy hillclimb sand spooky pine forest sections, all set against the Victorian High Country’s picturesque backdrop. Get ya cross-training boots on and be prepared!”
