The Northern Territory’s Kamfari has cemented its reputation as one of Australia’s toughest – and muddiest enduros; a race where simply finishing the grueling course remains most entrants’ primary objective. This year’s event was the 46th annual running of Kamfari, organised by the Darwin Motorcycle Club was a four-hour race, where riders must carry all tools and spares on their bike. Apart from spare goggles, fuel and clean water, nothing else is allowed in the pits.
The course took place at a new venue on Cox Peninsular Road, Darwin. Floodplains, creek crossings, bog holes, along with some higher country sections with bush land, gullies and feeder streams made up this year’s 12km course.
