2017 East Coast MX Details
According to ECMX promoter, Race Pace’s Michel Constantinou, season 27 with bring a few really positive changes to the popular ECMX series. “After running East Coast MX for five years, 2016 was the best year yet with the highest entry numbers to date, great support from sponsors and reasonable weather conditions,” Constantinou told Transmoto. “I am excited about 2017 with all the changes we have made, especially with the inclusion of a new venue at Cessnock, which is the first time the club is hosting a round of East Coast MX. I would also like to thank all our series sponsors for coming on board again in 2017: Transmoto, Alpinestars, Honda, Cobra, KTM, Husqvarna, Kenda Tyres, Ipone oil and lubricants, Scott goggles, Tee ‘n’ Cee Graphics, Reality Design, Race Pace MX Schools and MX Photo.”

• Canberra – ACTMCC Rnd 2
• Cessnock – CMCC Rnd 5
65cc age groups:
• 7 to U9 65cc
• 9 to U12 65cc
New points system
• 35 points for first place in each moto.
New ECMX Junior Girls scoring system
Eliminator Rounds
• 12 to U16 years 85cc Eliminator at Rnds 2 and 4
• Junior Lites Eliminator at Rnds 1, 3 and 5
Prize Money
• Increased total prize money to $15,300, which includes series prize money and individual round eliminator prize money.
