In this issue, we go back-stage with the Australian team at the 2016 ISDE in Spain, where not everything goes to plan as they attempt to back up last year’s trophy clean-sweep in Slovakia. Back home, we join reigning Dakar Rally champ, Toby Price, and 600 other frothers at our final two enduro events of the year – the Transmoto 6-Hour at Conondale and Guns Gully – and we put three 2017-model KTM 350s back-to-back to get a feel for the relative performance of WP’s new AER (air) and Xplor (coil) forks, which appear on these overhauled machines. We even fit the AER air-sprung fork to KTM’s 350EXC-F to replicate the bike that we reckon the Austrians will soon release. Plus, we look back on what’s been an incredible year via a “Best Of” retrospective that showcases the landmark feature articles published in Transmoto during 2016.
