WATAGAN RALLY: DISCOUNTED ENTRY
There’s a reason the Watagan Trail Bike Rally has now been staged for a dozen consecutive years: the picturesque state forest in which it’s run contains an incredible variety of terrain, all of which feels like it’s custom-made for dirt bikes. Aside from that, the event is conveniently staged less than two hours’ drive from Sydney, and run by the switched-on local crew from trailbikeralys.com.au, who’ve driven the two-day trail bike rally since its inception.
According to organiser Chris Flaherty, “After the recent storms, we’ve had to clear a lot of trees off the trails, but the rain has made conditions absolutely prime.”
With Husqvarna on board as a naming-right sponsor for the first time this year, all entrants for the 2015 Watagan Trail Bike Rally are automatically entered into the draw to win a brand new Husky FE450 enduro weapon, along with a host of other cool sponsor prizes. And if you’re a Husqvarna fan, this year’s trade display of Husky bikes promises to be something special. Word on the street is that if you bring along your old Husky (and/or some ‘big-H’ memorabilia), you’ll go in the running for a special price or two.
But if you want to grab yourself an entry at the discounted rate of $155, you’ll need to be quick. Organisers have extended the early bird entries until midnight this Sunday night, August 2, after which prices revert to $175. Those ticket prices include free camping, free showbag, and free breakfast and lunch on the Sunday.
Note that all entrants need hold a current motorcycle licence and bring along a motorcycle whose registration is current.
