2024 GASGAS v KTM v HUSKY: PRICE & PARTS COMPARO

1 year ago | Words: Andy Wigan | Photos: KTM Images

As keyboard warriors around the world never fail to point out, the off-road models from GASGAS, KTM and Husqvarna all use the same engine and frame platform and roll off the same production line at KTM’s Austrian HQ. But how do dealer-floor prices for the three brands now compare in Australia? And more importantly, what parts do and don’t come as standard equipment for those varying RRPs?

Most people know that Husqvarna’s enduro models, for example, get a few extra and/or up-specced components relative to their KTM counterparts (such as billet triple clamps, map selector switch and some protective parts) to justify their price premium. And ever since GASGAS was brought into the KTM fold, it has been positioned as a cheaper alternative with a component spec and pricing structure designed to bring customers into the KTM group – in other words, fewer accessories as standard equipment and a price tag to suit.

But how exactly does the standard component spec on these three brands’ enduro and motocross models compare? As the ‘Component Spec’ table below demonstrates, the difference between them is significantly greater than many people realise. Hopefully, this handy table will help you put the price differentials for each brand’s equivalent models in better context and, if you’re in the market for one of these machines, allow you to make a more informed purchase decision…
