EP 1: RIDING 5000KM ACROSS AUSTRALIA

Earlier this year, MXstore followed Jemma Wilson and her dad, Ted, 5000km across Australia through some of the most remote and difficult terrain there is. Starting from Gympie and finishing up in Broome, the legends from MXstore documented the whole thing! Jemma and her dad had been planning on doing a similar trip in 2020 just before covid locked down the country. Now in 2025 and with her dad getting on in years, it was a now or never type of deal. 

And, this wasn’t just a road trip, it’s an unsupported adventure into the heart of Australia, across the Simpson Desert, along Tanami Desert Road, and into Broome – the perfect test for the gear MXstore ride and sell. From luggage setups to riding boots, helmets, and hydration packs, everything is being thrown into real-world conditions that no showroom could ever replicate. 

The first part of the journey was meant to be the fun and easy part before the crew travelled through the Simpson Desert. Things took a different turn and there were a few hurdles in the way to get from Gympie to Birdsville – the gateway to the Simpson Desert. Watch Episode 1 below:
