But to be perfectly honest, when we look back over our published images and videos from that late-May launch, they simply don’t do the place justice. Yes, there was copious informative tech talk and imagery of the bikes’ component changes, design objectives and performance gains (which was kind of inevitable, given that 95% of the parts on these new-gen 2024 models had changed), but not a lot about the epic location and the opportunity to sample first-hand the Roof of Africa race’s notoriously gnarly trails.
Thankfully, this five-minute behind-the-scenes edit from KTM addresses those shortcomings by offering a broader window into the launch experience; an insight into Lesotho’s majestic terrain, the motley crew of journos from all over the world who gathered there like moths to an orange flame, and the sheer scale of the undertaking by KTM in staging the launch. Enjoy!
Back in the Red Bull KTM seat and fresh off a Rallye du Maroc win, can Australian Daniel Sanders finally secure that inaugural Dakar Rally Champion title?
