GASGAS recalls 2021-2024 models with Braktec brake systems

GASGAS has recalled 2021-2024 motocross, enduro and cross country models with Braktec brake systems to be inspected by an authorised GASGAS dealer for replacement of the rear brake caliper. Here’s the full press release from GASGAS Australia…

At GASGAS, rider safety and satisfaction are top priorities. In line with its commitment to quality and reliability, GASGAS is recalling all 2021-2024 motocross, enduro and cross country models equipped with Braktec brake systems. This action follows the identification of an issue affecting the rear brake caliper through ongoing market monitoring.

Under certain riding conditions, excessive loads may occur on the rear brake caliper, which could result in the component breaking. To eliminate any potential risk, the rear brake caliper, including the caliper bracket, must be replaced on all motorcycles subject to the campaign.

While it is our intention to contact customers by personal letter, owners of the above-mentioned models should contact your local authorised dealer to schedule an appointment to have the rear brake caliper replaced, free of charge.

In addition, customers can check online in the ‘Service’ area of the GASGAS website to determine if their motorcycle is affected by this recall. The replacement of the affected components will be carried out free of charge and must only be performed by authorised GASGAS dealers.
Further information on all authorised dealers can be found on the GASGAS website.

GASGAS is taking immediate action to replace the affected components on all motorcycles concerned. Through this measure, the brand reaffirms its commitment to safety, reliability, and keeping the focus on what matters most: enjoying every ride with confidence.
