There’s no easy way across the Simpson Desert, especially when you’re doing it unsupported along the iconic French Line. This stretch of red sand, endless dunes at the very heart of Australia. This leg of The Ultimate Unsupported Adventure saw Jemma Wilson and her dad, Ted tackle one of the toughest rides in the country, part of a 5000km journey from Gympie to Broome. No backup vehicles, no creature comforts, just two riders, their bikes, and the gear they trusted to get them through. For Jemma, a multi-time Enduro champ and lifelong rider, it was a chance to test herself and her dad Ted, at 65 years young, it was the ride of a lifetime, one last big adventure with his daughter across terrain that pushes both man and machine to the limit.
