TESTED: WP FORK’S 7500 CARTRIDGE KIT
Do you hear right that, if you own a 2024-onwards Husqvarna or KTM enduro model, the cost of upgrading to a WP ‘Cone Value’ fork has now halved? Yep, for $2500 you can now buy WP’s XPLOR Pro 7500 Cartridge kit, which effectively converts your bike’s standard XACT CC (Closed-Cartridge) fork into a fully-fledged XPLOR Pro ‘Cone Valve’ specimen – essentially, the same suspension componentry that’s used by some of the world’s best factory racers!
But is that $2500 money well spent? How big a difference does it make to the way your bike handles across a variety of different terrain? Will it actually make you faster and/or less fatigued? And what’s this palaver your mates keep telling you about WP’s bang-for-buck $215 shock Bladder Kit?
For answers to those questions, we fitted these WP Pro Component fork and shock kits to a 2024-model Husky FE350, and then got a cross-section of riders to test it back-to-back against a dead stock FE350. Here’s what we discovered after a couple of days in the saddle…
