2026 TRANSMOTO CALENDAR BREAKDOWN

23 hours ago | Photos: OK Photo

With Transmoto’s 2026 season locked and loaded, it’s time to map out the year ahead. From long-standing favourites to fresh additions, Transmoto’s 2026 event line-up is set to deliver another epic year of off-road racing for you hooligans. We’ve broken down each event, where it’s headed, and what you can expect – providing the full picture of what’s coming and where you need to be, when it counts.

1. TRANSMOTO 8-HOUR @ MACLEAY VALLEY (NSW) (Includes Juniors/Ladies Loop)

First hosting a Transmoto 8-Hour in 2024, we went to do a repeat in 2025 but due to the destructive mid-year floods in the Kempsey region we had to cancel. Now back for redemption, Macleay Valley is coming out of the blocks as the first event on the 2026 calendar.

On a private property that’s situated just 20km northwest of Kempsey (about an hour’s drive south of Coffs Harbour) in the Mid North Coast region of NSW, this 650-acre patch of fertile terra firma boasts some of the loamiest (and rock-free!) alluvial soil on Australia’s eastern seaboard, with its 16km race loop weaving through a mesmerizing combo of tree-lined trail and flowing grasstrack. With very little elevation change, the race loop is all about stringing together flowing flat turns rather than battling hillclimbs or technical sections.

2. TRANSMOTO 8-HOUR @ TUMUT (NSW)

The first event held at this venue was in 2022, and it’s run annually ever since – as a 10-Hour for the first three years, and then as an 8-Hour in 2025. This means 2026 will be the fifth consecutive running of the event!

Tumut is situated in NSW’s Riverina region, with the event itself taking place just out of town on a picturesque 1200-acre private property that’s nestled into the northwest foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Conveniently, it’s just a two- to three-hour drive from Canberra, Albury-Wodonga, Cooma and Narrandera, and a little over four hours’ drive from Sydney. With huge tracts of bushland and grasstrack and commanding views, this venue is an absolute riding paradise. What sets the notorious Tumut track apart is its serious elevation changes – almost 600m of ‘vertical drop’ in snowfield language – which makes sections of the loop the most technical and physically demanding of the 8-Hour events on this year’s calendar.

3. TRANSMOTO 8-HOUR @ MIVA STATION (QLD) (Includes Juniors/Ladies Loop)

Those who rode this venue at its inaugural 8-Hour event in 2022 will know just how good it is. Miva Station returned on the Transmoto Enduro Events calendar in 2025 for a doozie of a sold-out event in perfect conditions, and is back by popular demand for its third running in 2026. As the only Queensland-based event on Transmoto’s 2026 calendar, you won’t want to miss it.

Founded in 1861 by the current landowner’s ancestors, this picturesque 10,000-acre property – a cattle and sugarcane farm that’s bordered by Wide Bay Creek and the Mary River – sits on the intersection of Queensland’s Gympie and Fraser Coast regions. It’s just 35 minutes’ drive from the township of Gympie, 90 minutes from the Sunshine Coast, and still conveniently close to Brisbane, Gold Coast and a host of southeast Queensland and NSW Northern Rivers’ towns. The venue also played host to a round of the Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) back in 2017. This massive private property boasts a mouth-watering combo of tree-lined singletrail, undulating grasstrack, crazy sections of black riverbed sand and flowing bush tracks. And with sections of the race loop weaving its way in and around a huge sugarcane plantation, it is quintessentially Queensland!

4. TRANSMOTO 8-HOUR @ NARRABRI (NSW) (Includes Juniors/Ladies Loop)

After the first running at this fantastic venue in 2024 – which was the first Transmoto event to ever be held in the North West Slopes region of NSW – the 8-Hour will head back to Narrabri for the third running in 2026. Which is great news because this region’s terrain gives this 8-Hour a very different feel to those run closer to the coast.

The venue is about 35 mins northeast of Narrabri, which sits at the junction of the Kamilaroi and Newell Highways in the North West Slopes of NSW. The property is called “Castletop” (also known as Bike Territory) – a family-owned sheep and cattle property and a stay-and-ride venue. Situated in the Nandewar Ranges, Castletop’s land runs from the flats along Rocky Creek, through open paddocks and ridges, and up into the mountains. With 7500+ acres of riding terrain to play with, the 8-Hour’s race loop utilises a bunch of all-new tracks, specifically cut-in for the event. So, picture a mega mix of big-paddock grasstrack, rocky hillclimbs, flowing tree-lined singletrack, and incredible vistas!

6. TRANSMOTO 8-HOUR @ ESKDALE (VIC) (Includes Juniors/Ladies Loop)

First run in 2025 to rave reviews, the Transmoto 8-Hour is back at this beautiful Eskdale property again for 2026. And as the only Victoria-based event on Transmoto’s 2026 calendar, you sure don’t want to miss this one.

This 700-acre private property lies in the heart of Victoria’s alpine country; a stone’s throw from the picturesque little township of Eskdale (and its sole pub!) on the banks of the Mitta Mitta River. It’s just 45 minutes’ drive southeast of Albury-Wodonga on the Victoria/NSW border. With the landowners being lifelong enduro riders (who have several Transmoto events under their belts as entrants), there’s little wonder this venue’s race loop features a superb combo of flowing old-growth forest trails and big, undulating expanses of grasstrack. The ground has a mix of clay and loamy topsoil, along with some rocks to keep riders on their toes. And plenty of elevation changes around the race loop ensure there’s also a few challenging hills and descents and off-camber sections.

7. TRANSMOTO 12-HOUR @ BATEMANS BAY (NSW)

In 2011, the Transmoto 12-Hour at Batemans Bay was where it all began for Transmoto’s events. Yep, it was home to the very first installment of these teams-based dirt bike endurance events, which went on to capture the hearts and minds of the Australian trail and enduro riding fraternity. This unique property played host to 10 consecutive annual 12-Hour events up till 2020. That’s why it’s so exciting in 2026, when the original Transmoto event will be returning to its original venue in the NSW South Coast’s picturesque hinterland.

The Transmoto 12-Hour is held on two adjoining private properties in the Buckenbowra State Forest, about 30km inland from Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast. Thanks to recent road improvements, the 12-Hour venue is now within four and hours’ drive of Sydney and Canberra, respectively.

The one-off, custom-made race loop will take the average rider between 20 and 30 minutes to complete a lap of. It includes a challenging (but not intimidating) combination of singletrack, creek-crossings, fire road and natural-terrain grasstrack sections, with ‘chicken line’ options for any sections some riders may consider a too technical. So, while the loop’s terrain itself doesn’t have any particularly technical sections or obstacles, it’ll definitely get chewed out and rough over the course of 12 hours use and abuse, and is not for the faint-hearted.
