The 2015 Australian Supercross Championship will kick off this weekend at Bathurst, alongside the annual Bathurst 1000 taking place on Mount Panorama. The field is stacked with international talent this year, ready to go up against Australia’s best. Can Team Motul Suzuki’s Matt Moss go three-peat in the SX1 class? And will Yamaha’s riders shut everyone down after sitting out the 2014 SX season? We’ll soon find out! Stay tuned to our social media channels over the weekend for updates.

Speaking of the CDR Yamaha team, word on the street is that the highest placed rider at the end of the season in SX1 – between Kade Mosig, Dan Reardon and Jacob Wright – will secure a seat to ride alongside Dean Ferris in 2016. If that is the case, all three will be riding for their lives at each and every round.

Following on from last week’s rumours, it’s been confirmed that American rider, Jimmy Decotis, will be heading Down Under to contest the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship in the SX2 class for Penrite Honda, alongside fellow American, Gavin Faith, and US-based Venezuelan champ, Anthony Rodriguez, who are both confirmed to race in the SX1 division.

The 2015 KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship is done and dusted for another year. The country’s best up-and-coming motocross racers descended upon Bunbury’s circuit in Western Australia to do battle – some were left heartbroken, while the dreams of others came true. For detailed results and final standings, visit www.ajmxbunbury2015.com.au, www.puremx.com.au or the Motorcycling Australia website.

The 2015 Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship (EWC) concluded over the weekend in Requista, France, with Eero Remes (E1), Antoine Meo (E2), Mathias Bellino (E3), Jamie McCanney (EJ) and Laia Sanz (EW) taking home respective titles. 2013 Enduro Junior and 2014 Enduro 3 champion, Australia’s Matt Phillips, came home in second Overall this year, while the Aussie girls, Jess Gardiner and Jemma Wilson, finished their seasons in third and fourth Overall, respectively.

Australia’s Toby Price is currently overseas contesting the annual Morocco Rally in preparation for the 2016 Dakar Rally. Unfortunately, he’s been ill and had some tech issues that have put him well and truly out of podium reach. Follow his progress via his social media channels.

The 2015 Australian 4-Day Enduro, set to take place at Wynyard in Tasmania, is only a few weeks away. It’s shaping up to be an awesome event with 227 competitors officially registered to race, including Daniel Milner (expected to race the all-new WR450F), Matt Phillips (he’ll be the hot favourite as Wynyard is his hometown), Toby Price, Chris Hollis, Josh Green and many more.

Troy Bayliss is set to host the Australian Motorcycle Finance Troy Bayliss Invitational GP flat-track race at next weekend’s 16th round of the MotoGP championship, alongside the second round of the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship. It’s going to be a ripper.

Just as rumours seemed to confirm we wouldn’t see an all-new WR450F until February next year, Yamaha in both Europe and the USA suddenly unveiled the much-awaited model on their websites earlier this week. Yamaha Motor Australia simply posted a static image of the machine on its Facebook page, along with a message that read: “Shrouded in secrecy, until now. The cover on the all-new #WR450F has been lifted. All will be revealed at MotoGP Phillip Island.” So, before we see it in the flesh at next weekend’s MotoGP, what can be extrapolated from the limited information and images released for the new bike?
