The Transmoto 12-Hour’s Biggest Family

6 years ago | Words: Andy Wigan | Photos: Donat O'Kelly

The combined KTM and Husqvarna pit plots at the 12-Hour housed 27 people – a combination of staffers from the brands’ Sydney HQ, Pro riders, race team personnel, and their collective friends and family. Some changing nappies while others changed tyres, oil or transponders. And for all your money, it looked more like a Sunday picnic cum crèche in a picturesque paddock than a dirt bike event. And whether they wore Austrian orange or Swedish blue, this crew’s passion to live the brands’ ‘Ready to Race’ mantra was plain to see.
We hit up KTM and Husqvarna Australia’s General Manager, Jeff Leisk – who raced himself – for a video snapshot of his 2018 Transmoto 12-Hour experience.
