Lauded as the ultimate test for off-road riders, the annual Erzbergrodeo is widely regarded as the toughest Hard Enduro event on the planet. Over the years, it’s uncovered some of who we now know as the biggest names in endurance motorcycling. Riders such as Cyril Despres took on the challenge early in their fledgling careers, while Taddy Blazusiak turned plenty of heads when he turned up as an unheralded prospect in 2007 and won on a borrowed machine.
The 2016 edition of the event will take place this weekend, and will be contested by the winner of the 2015 Transmoto 6-Hour, 2016 Transmoto 12-Hour and 2016 Transmoto 8-Hour Ironman-class winner, Australia’s Kye Anderson. Best of luck, Kye.
