The ‘King of the Desert’ title is one that is crowned with great respect. Four-time Hattah Desert race winner and three-time Finke champion, Toby Price, who also took home a highly coveted podium on his first attempt at the Dakar Rally last year, has earned his title.

“This isn’t the first time we have filmed Toby, and needless to say this wasn’t the first time he has blown our minds,” said Fourohfour’s Amanda Kirkpatrick. “Chasing Price down through the Simpson Desert in an R44 helicopter, having Toby slowly pull away while he clicks from fifth into sixth gear while the bike seemingly easily floats above the ground in an orchestrated motion between man and machine, was amazing. The pilot honestly said we couldn’t keep up as we had the chopper on full tilt. Going more than 180km/h through some of the most unpredictable, roughest and changing terrain in Australia only highlighted why Toby is the King of the Desert.”
