Product: TCX Comp Evo Boot
We finally get our first up close and personal look at TCX’s all-new Comp Evo boot, whose sole is designed in collaboration with Michelin.
WHAT IS IT?
It’s a completely new, top-of-the-line boot from Italian brand, TCX, and uses a moulded sole that’s produced by French tyre specialists, Michelin. The Comp Evo features a redesigned aluminium buckle system, an adjustable calf plate, and an ankle hinge (Double Flex Control System) that controls forward and backward motion, while limiting lateral flex. The Comp Evo is currently being worn by MX stars Dylan Ferrandis and Brock Tickle, as well as Team KTM and Husqvarna Enduro World Championship team riders.
FEATURES
- Fitted with the new Michelin Hybrid Sole – the result of a partnership between TCX and Michelin, and inspired by the Multiway 3D Tyre. The sole is designed to guarantee maximum traction and stability, while optimising feel for the controls and minimising weight.
- The introduction of the new Double Flex Control System (which features a PU joint in the ankle area) improves front and rear flexibility of the leg and offers excellent protection against impact.
- The upper is made from a high wear-resistant micro-fibre and features a PU bootleg. This is integrated into the Double Flex Control System, making for enhanced envelopment of the calf and protection against the ingress of mud, dust and gravel. The bootleg is also equipped with a rubber heat-guard for superior grip on the bike’s frame.
- The shin-plate is made of PU and comes with adjustable system to ensure it fits different calf dimensions perfectly.
- The lining uses a breathable fabric and PU soft padding around the ankle area.
- The four aluminium buckles are micro-adjustable and interchangeable.
