NSW State MX Champions Awarded
Held over three days at the Nowra Motoplex, the 2019 King of MX – NSW State Motocross Championship has once again exceeded expectations, with 20 racers earning their place as 2019 NSW Motocross Champion, and once again establishing itself as Australia’s largest Junior/Senior motocross event.
With twenty championship classes, it was a jam-packed race schedule, however, race officials did a fantastic job to manage the event, giving every competitor the best chance possible to achieve, what for some, is their 2019 racing goal – to win their State Title. Riders from around the state, and the country, came together, turning the Nowra venue into a hive of activity and bar-to-bar racing.
Newly elected Motorcycling NSW President, Gavin Hunt: “What an event the King of MX has become in only two years! Motorcycling NSW wanted to turn the NSW State Motocross Championship into an event worthy of the incredible effort rider and their families go to to succeed in racing, and judging from what I saw last weekend, and through the Qualifier events I attended, we’re well on the way. As a parent in the sport, I can’t recall a race meeting of this magnitude, and with such an overwhelmingly positive response from the heart and soul of motocross racing. I want to thank all the riders and their families for making the effort to race the qualifiers and those who got through, to come and support the final. It was a privilege to be able to present the medallions, and winners’ cheques, to the top three place-getters in every class.”
