MXSTORE: WRECKERS TO CHECKERS EP.2

6 months ago | Words: Miller Mendham | Photos: MXstore

Watch as the boys tear down and disassemble their bikes to see what problems they have, and what their plans are for the bike. Find out the story behind Micmac’s RM250 and how he spends only $500 to get it running better. Unfortunately, Dylan’s KX250 is worse off than he had initially thought. Nigel hopes to restore that ‘New Bike Feel’ to his CRF450.

While both Dylan and Nigel have their $6000 budget cut down by only their bike cost, Mick has spent $500 on getting his machine running better with a new:

  • Set Of Reeds
  • Carby Rebuild Kit
  • Throttle & Clutch Cable
  • Exhaust Silencer

This leaves the three boys with a shrinking budget of:

  • Mick: $1,800
  • Nigel: $3,000
  • Dylan: $3,200

To get their bikes race ready.

While Mick has spent the most so far, a crucial error made by a previous owner has one of the boys worried about their machine, a dusted motor on an old bike can mean big money for parts and labor.

Going into the next episode, all three of the boys have their; block pass and two phone a friends remaining. Who’s got your bet for the best bike, if you’re keen, watch the full series here:
