ECMX: Round 3 Goulburn Results

The 2016 East Coast MX series, presented by Transmoto, headed to Goulburn for its third round of the year, and was dominated by CFR Honda Racing’s Joel and Kurt Wightman.

Joel won all three of his motos in the Pro Lites class, fending off some stiff competition from the likes of Aaron Tanti, Jamie Harvey, Kurt Gow and Western Australian import, Kyle Webster, while his brother, Kurt, extended his lead in the Pro Open class after taking home the Overall at Goulburn. DPH Motorsports Yamaha’s Lawson Bopping won the first race, but retired for the rest of the day, as did Western Australia’s Mitch Taylor due to the dusty conditions. Even with the Goulburn Motorcycle Club running four water trucks donated by Divalls Earthmoving to water the track, the conditions were still very dusty.

The 2016 East Coast MX series, presented by Transmoto, will now head to Maitland for round four on May 14-15.
