6-Hour @ Stroud: Save The Date

Transmoto 6-Hour @ Gunns Gully (Stroud)… Get your finger on the entry trigger!
The picturesque rolling hills of Gunns Gully, just down the road from Stroud, holds the dubious honour of hosting the wettest and driest Transmoto events ever – in 2015 and 2016, respectively. Which means we’re owed prime conditions when the third annual instalment of the Transmoto 6-Hour descends on Gunns Gully on the second weekend of September.
So round up your mates, clear your schedules for September 9-10, dust off your camping gear, get your bike and body and transport in order, and get ready to pull the trigger on an entry for the 2017 Transmoto 6-Hour at Gunns Gully, powered by Husqvarna. Cos it will sell out fast!
In the meantime, here are some FAQs we’ve answered to help you and your mates get amped and prepared…

WHAT CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE?

There will be a strictly limited number of entries for the Ironman and Pairs classes, and plenty of positions available for the Team (of 3) class. If you’re at all in doubt – about the ability, fitness or stamina of you or your teammates(s) – go for a team entry. The overwhelming majority of riders with the biggest smiles on their faces at our six-hour events are those who race in a Team (of 3). Remember, the weekend is just as much about the roadtrip, camping and bench-racing as it is about Sunday’s six hours of actual racing.

WHEN DO ENTRIES OPEN?

They’ll open late next week, so stay tuned to Transmoto’s website and social media channels for details.

WHAT ABOUT PRE OR PRIORITY ENTRIES?

We only offer reserved/guaranteed entries to event sponsors. An FOC Team (of 3) entry is included in the Silver Sponsorship Package, so please email events@transmoto.com.au if you’d like some information about sponsorship.
As we’ve done in the past, previous Transmoto Enduro Event entrants will be sent a special ‘Priority Entry’ email 24 hours prior to entries going live to the public.

THE 2017 COURSE & PIT PADDOCK

Ask any seasoned dirt bike racer and they’ll tell you the best enduro courses are always built by locals; characters who know the lay of the land like the back of their hand. That’s exactly why our Gunns Gully courses are handcrafted each year by a bunch of passionate local riders. The 2017 loop will be substantially different to those used in previous years, but it’ll still incorporate that intoxicating blend of prime singletrail, flowing firetrail and undulating grasstack. Meanwhile, mods to the pit layout will mean that a majority of pit plots will be on level ground. And (if the event is not surrounded by a dozen raging bushfires again this year!) there’ll be a communal bonfire on the Saturday night.
