Red Bull KTM signs Justin Hill
Red Bull KTM has signed former Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki racer, Justin Hill, to contest the 2015 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series (250SX West) and 2015 Lucas Oil AMA Pro 250 Motocross Championship.
Hill hails from the state of Oregon, where he lived throughout his amateur motocross career. It was at a young age that Hill became recognised as an upcoming star after securing multiple amateur MX titles which led to a factory ride in his rookie season in 2013. During that season he earned two top five finishes in the 250SX West Supercross series.
In 2014, Hill landed on the podium five times in the 250SX West Supercross series. His first professional career win was at the San Diego Supercross. He also scored the win at the Las Vegas East/West Shootout. Hill was sitting inside the top ten in points in the 250 Motocross class earlier this season, before a shoulder injury sidelined him at Millville, forcing him to sit out the remainder of the series.
“Obviously Justin’s improvement in the past year caught our eye,” stated Red Bull KTM Factory Team Manager, Roger De Coster. “We saw him take two wins in the Supercross series and saw a lot of potential in his outdoor results as well. We are excited to have him join our team this season and feel he will complement our other rider, Marvin Musquin, very well giving the Red Bull KTM team a competitive rider on each coast in the Supercross series.”
Hill was equally excited about signing with Red Bull KTM, stating, “I’m really happy to get the opportunity to join Red Bull KTM and work with Team Manager, Roger De Coster. I’ve always been a big fan of Roger and what he has accomplished throughout his career. I’m looking at this as a fresh start with an exciting brand and an opportunity to join a race-focused company which is a perfect fit for me.”
Justin Hill and Marvin Musquin will make up Red Bull KTM’s 250 effort in 2015. An official announcement regarding the signing of former Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider, Dean Wilson, to the 450 class to race for Red Bull KTM alongside Ryan Dungey is expected in the coming weeks.
