James Stewart OUT for Spring Creek
Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart will have to sit out this weekend’s seventh round of the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, to be held at Spring Creek in Millville. JS7, the multi-championship winning rider has not seen enough progress in the rehab from his recent injury to make sense to compete at this point in time.
“At this point in time it doesn’t make sense to push it,” said Team Yoshimura Suzuki Manager, Mike Webb. “From a safety standpoint, for both James and the other riders, we just don’t want to take the chance. The injury is a little more than we though and will simply require a bit more rehab. The plan is to stay off the bike for a couple week and then ride, test and come back strong for Southwick.”
Stewart was went down the beginning of Moto 1 at Thunder Valley round in early June, as he crossed rutted while leading, resulting in the injured wrist. The controversial “Photographer crossing the track and distracting Stewart” footage shows it all. Stewart made his return at RedBud, but unfortunately it wasn’t the fiery comeback everyone had hoped for, as the injured wrist quite clearly prevented him from performing at the best of his ability. The Yoshimura Suzuki rider has managed to collect two overall victories with four moto wins and a third-place overall so far this season.
