That’s a wrap for moto two! Frenchman Steve Frossard grabbed the holeshot over Belgian Kevin Strijbos and Great Britain’s Tommy Searle. Dean Wilson started fourth but would quickly work past his teammate, Searle. Those four would begin to separate quickly and remain together until the finish.
Matt Moss would have a decent start but battling a sore shoulder, he would battle to a 15th place finish. Luke Clout rode strong to the finish in a consistent 21st place.
American Eli Tomac would collide with Italian David Philippaerts and be relegated to a mid-pack start. He would struggle to make up time on the lead pack but slowly moved past rider after rider. He would end up in sixth place at the checkers.
The points for the top four teams as of now, minus the dropped worst score, are as follows:
France: 11 points
Belgium: 15 points
Great Britain: 15 points
USA: 19 points
